We got to go to the U2 360 tour last weekend.  It. Was. Brilliant!  We had to do it big and showed up in the morning in hopes of getting into the inner circle and made it!  It was the best show I’ve ever seen. Period.  Hands down.  I know, I know…I’m slightly biased but still.  Brilliant!

I had to share something cool that they do before the concert.   As a photographer, it leaves me a bit in awe.  I watched this guy on stage taking photos but didn’t have any idea what it was for.  Turns out they blend all the photos together to compile one enormous photo of the entire stadium.  It’s amazing.  So amazing that I found my friends on the 300 level and their faces were pretty clear! Crazy!

Here’s the photo of our area with a letter key to follow;

A – The back of my friend Kristi’s head

B – Beattie – Kristi’s husband who matches my U2 Fan-ness.  I love how he’s pointing at the guy like “I know you!”.

C – Eric who is my friend Elena’s husband

D – Dave Hess who is my brother’s friend that I’ve never met but my brother saw this and pointed out how close we were

E – Elena – another huge U2 fan who I know from HS days in Yakima and who knew I’d be there so found me!

F – My hand

G – Ben who promises he isn’t on his phone.. Hmmm.

H- Johnathon

I – Beck’s half a head (slightly creepy)

J – The Douche who kept worming his way up to the front in line

K – Angry Eyes

I also went to look at the Oakland concert because I knew my friend Dan was also in the inner circle and I found him about where we were at our concert.

And a few from the actual concert taken with my little camera.

Sigh.  It was a good night…
