I just realized that I haven’t posted shots from Ireland this week. I’m dying because I just heard that tickets to Dublin are right around $700 right now! It’s hard not to just drop everything and GO!
Another of my favorite things to do in Dublin is walk along the canal. It is so beautiful and quiet. The canal used to be a traders and passenger transport from the River Liffey to the River Shannon. There are water locks all the way along the canal and they have little foot bridges which you can use to cross over. I loved to zigzag all along the canal over these little bridges because you just wouldn’t see that in the US. There are no hand rails, no warnings, just two little boards for you to get to where your going. I also liked pausing in the middle and look up the canal at the bridges (a much safer but less fun way to cross the canal). Here is a photo from one of the many times I crossed over –
Can you see why I loved it?!!
I’m going to throw in a classic Dublin shot now of the Ha’ Penny Bridge and the River Liffey as a bonus. 🙂
Oh man, I love that bridge. My ancestral celtic blood is yearning for that bridge…
Are you sure we can’t all get tickets? 🙂 It looks lovely! Beautiful photos.

Oh, this makes me fall in love with Ireland all over again.
