This is how I start my morning every morning – coffee. I know, know…super unique. But what makes me feel like everything is going to be OK and hear the birds chirping more is my coffee mugs. Emma Bridgewater. I just think that Emma and I would be friends. On very special mornings when I have remembered to run the dishwasher the night before I use the queen of all the Emma Bridgewater mugs –
Now I’m going to blow you’re mind with a story. I bought this mug for my friend Lora. After I left the shop (Country Garden Antiques – my friend’s shop in Yakima) I thought that I should have bought another one for my friend Amy because I knew she would love it. It was October and I already had Amy’s Christmas present so her June birthday wasn’t top of mind but I made a mental note to get one. Guess what I got from Amy for MY birthday?! Yup. The very same mug! Is your mind absolutely blown?! (These are the kind of stories I tell and then my brothers make fun of me!)
Anyway, this is how my morning started today. It’s got to be a good day.
Aw shucks, sug! Great minds think alike!
Just looking at your photo made me say, ahhhh…. I think that I might be a little addicted to both coffee and books. Maybe add a little piece of dark chocolate occassionally, and you have near perfection! 🙂
I love a good mug that just feels right in your hands and is steaming with the elixir of the gods (aka – coffee).
I love this post. I can feel your love for the mug and the coffee and for Amy and for Lora and for Aunt Pat and coffee and coffee and coffee. Have we had this conversation before where we realize we both have thought, “I can’t wait to go to sleep because in the morning, I get coffee!!” 🙂 Haha Joe has had thought that too. Anyway, my birthday is coming up… hint hint….I LOVE THAT MUG TOO AND I WANT IT TOO! I WANNA BE A PART OF THIS MUG CLUB!
That’s how I start my morning! My favorite ritual! Thanks, Sug, LOVE the mug!
THIS is why I love you. My mind is officially blown. I wish I could come have a cup of coffee with you NOW.
