My sister said that about farting once…”Ah man, it’s never not funny!” And I thought that was funny! You see, she used a double negative! And she’s a comedian so the way she said it… And it’s about FARTING!….Oh, never mind….
Anyway, I think laughter is really important. The man I married made me laugh and thankfully still makes me laugh. I know he will continue to make me laugh.
I think that is why this image is one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.
I was hired to photograph their anniversary party given to them by their children. I hope that someone catches a shot like this of me and my husband at our 58th Wedding Anniversary Party.
Hopefully it isn’t because one of us farted.
(Note: that isn’t why they are laughing in this photo, btw… They are super classy and would never have hired me had they known I giggle like a Jr Higher when anyone passes gas in my vicinity.)
Ffffarrrraaaaaaab
What a great couple. Fifty eight years is something to really celebrate. I’m glad that they got such a talented photographer to capture the event!
If you’re still alive and kickin when we celebrate this, will you take pictures of us? I mean…you are 10 years older than us.
I love you. Still be my friend.
Beck Judy…Beck Judy…Hmmm. That name sounds familiar… Must be my early onset Alzheimer’s
Just reading Gilead by Marilynne Robinson and I was reminded of your posting here when on page 5 I read: “[laughing]… seemed beautiful to me. It is an amazing thing to watch people laugh, the way it sort of takes them over. Sometimes they really do struggle with it. I see that in church often enough. So I wonder what it is and where it comes from, and I wonder what it expends out of your system, so that you have to do it till you’re done…”
I actually got a tear over this photo…it says so much about their relationship and I don’t even know them!
