Zina

For Zina’s Senior portraits she asked if we could go to Bellevue Botanical Gardens. It’s a beautiful spot for Senior photos!

Another great young lady from my neighborhood.  And I have to tell a funny story about Zina when she was a little girl…

We have a neighborhood pool. It’s nothing fancy but having the pool was a life saver when my kids were little and the summer days seemed to stretch on forever. I’m pretty sure we were the first to arrive and the last to leave each day! One of the many things I love about the pool is you get to know the people in your neighborhood pretty well! All the other parents who are just trying to fill the day without the routine of school get to meet each other before the kids are even school age! This is how I met Zina and her mom.

(Go Monarchs!)

What I remember most about Zina is that she had the most beautiful hair I’d ever seen. No joke. It was full and curly without looking unruly but the best thing about her hair was (still is!) the color. I guess you’d call it auburn but that is such a boring description! It’s just beautiful! So, thinking I was being playful and complimentary, I’d tell her that I wanted her hair. I had no idea until about a year ago that I actually terrified this poor child who literally slept with the windows closed in the heat of the summer because she was scared of me coming and stealing her hair!!! I feel so bad! I had no idea!

Luckily she’s not scared of me now (ha!) and will you just look at these gorgeous photos from her Senior Portrait Session at Bellevue Botanical Gardens.

Zina, Congratulations on being a Senior! Juanita is going to miss your curly locks ?! I’m so excited to see where you go in life! I’m cheering you on!

Best,

Sugar
