Ben

I’ve done a lot of writing about these kids that I watched grow up in the neighborhood and now have the opportunity to photograph them for their Senior Portraits.  Well, the same is true for Ben. I’ve known Ben all of his life. But he’s not from the ‘hood but from my hometown. And not only have I known him his whole life, it’s deeper than even that! Our families have known each other since I was the small one! I actually had my own Senior Portraits taken at his grandparents beautiful home outside Yakima in Wapato where I also got to take his sister’s Senior Portraits! His grandmother is one of my mom’s closest friends and his aunt is one of my closest friends.

I felt so honored that Ben traveled all the way to Kirkland from Yakima to have me photograph him for his Senior pictures. I wanted a special spot for him so chose Juanita Bay in Kirkland as our location for the shoot.  Ben is more of a country kid. He lives on a ranch next to apple, cherry and pear orchards. I didn’t want “city” for these shots Juanita Bay was perfect for this.  Kirkland Senior Portraits at Juanita Bay are a great choice if you’re planning!

Ever since Ben was a little one, his eyes have always been showstoppers. I was thrilled to be able to photograph Ben’s eyes.  Aren’t they stunning?!

I loved my time with Ben, his mom and his girlfriend. I don’t get to see them much on this side of the mountains. Such a treat to take his Kirkland Senior Portraits at Juanita Bay!

Here’s a side note: have you ever met a Ben you didn’t like? Me either…?

Ben Ben, as Aunt Mary calls you, I hope you have a fantastic Senior Year at Wapato High! I look forward to more times 4 wheeling in the orchard, apple cider making and Pickleball playing soon!

All the best,

Sugar
