The Kirkland Waterfront for Senior Portraits is a prime location!

Anja is a Senior at Lake Washington HS just like her cousin, Lexi, who I got to take portraits of a week or so before. I met Anja also at the Kirkland Waterfront for her Senior Portraits… one of my favorite locations for Senior Photos because of the variety of backgrounds. I love the Kirkland Waterfront for Senior Portraits because it’s easy to fit the personality with the Senior in and around Downtown Kirkland.

Anja is a delight! And this girl surprised me by being my very first girl to show up to her photo shoot without a stitch of makeup! Occasionally I’ve had girls who aren’t used to wearing makeup be cautious but never have I had a girl wear not a stitch! And it totally suited her! She is very much a natural beauty!

Kirkland Waterfront for Senior Portraits

We had a great time walking around various spots in and around the Waterfront. Anja’s mom and aunt have a salon nearby so it’s a special spot for their family. It was another night of that beautiful summer Golden Hour that makes me squeal as I watch it unfold. She also has the perfect hair to catch that golden light.

Another story I want to tell about Anja is that, about a week after her Senior Session, I was at Lake Washington HS to watch my daughter’s Slow Pitch game. I was walking back to my car when I heard my name being called. I looked up to see Anja, a bit away from me, smiling and waving at me. I walked over and chatted with her for a minute but left just so impressed! She could have seen me and let me walk on by because I never would have seen her. This is what I would have done as a teenager being to shy to say hello! But she went out of her way to say hello. My best friend’s family motto is to make everyone feel important and included. Anja made me feel like that! What a sweetie!
