Lily

For Lily’s Senior Portraits at Brightwater Center in Bothell.  I know that sounds weird, but it’s actually a fabulous location for Senior pictures in the Greater Seattle Area and specifically the Eastside!

But let me backup and just say….Ugh. This girl! I love her ever so much. I’ve known Lily practically her whole life. She is tender and honest, playful and goofy and basically Fun with a capital F! You just can’t help but smile in her sunshiney presence.

This year was a year of photographing the second or third Senior of various families I’ve been honored to capture before. And I’m sad that there are no more Jo girls ahead for me to look forward to photographing! So I tried not to cry as I took photo after photo of this beauty and kept my mourning to myself. Luckily, it was a beautiful evening and I got to photograph sunshine herself to cheer my heart! Lily’s personality came through every single Senior picture I took.  There’s just no hiding the treasure this girl is.

Lily brought her ukulele as a prop. It was the perfect addition and compliment to capturing who she is. She also went shopping at Goodwill like two minutes before the shoot and found the perfect dress.  Who does that and pulls it off?!! Lily. That’s who.

Lily, my first memory of you was at your aunt’s wedding. I remember lots of discussion on who was on “Lily Duty”. You were two. You were always on the move! I feel like you are still the same. You are on the move, soaring higher and higher and whoever is on “Lily Duty” is lucky to be there. I feel lucky to know you, lucky to photograph you, and I’ll always be on “Lily Duty” whenever you need me!

Love you heaps,

Sugar
